After a huge week in Sydney, we’ve finally had a chance to reflect on the 2026 Insurance Advisernet Australia and Insurance Advisernet New Zealand Conference and what a week it was.
This year’s conference celebrated an incredible 50 years across the Australian and New Zealand networks. It was a significant milestone and a wonderful opportunity to recognize the history, people and shared values that have shaped Insurance Advisernet into the network it is today.
We are incredibly proud to be part of the Australian network Ian Carr created 30 years ago. His vision was to build a network where independent insurance advisers could retain their individual identities while benefiting from the strength, resources and support of a larger organization. Three decades later, that vision continues to support advisers like us in delivering quality advice and service to our clients.
The conference featured an outstanding line-up of speakers, including three-time world surfing champion Mick Fanning, Olympic swimming coach Dean Boxall and author and adaptive surfing champion Sam Bloom. Each brought a different perspective, but their stories shared powerful themes of resilience, leadership, determination and performing under pressure.
As always, one of our personal highlights was the opportunity to spend time with other brokers and insurance professionals from across Australia and New Zealand. In an industry built on relationships, being able to exchange ideas, learn from one another and catch up with people we don’t often see in person is incredibly valuable.
The conference was also a chance to recognize the achievements of advisers, teams and industry partners from throughout the network. Congratulations to all the award nominees and winners – the recognition was thoroughly deserved.
A huge thank you to Insurance Advisernet Australia and Insurance Advisernet New Zealand for another memorable conference and for bringing together such a supportive and talented group of people.
We’ve returned home feeling inspired, grateful and very proud to be part of this network.
Bring on 2027!
